The Ruby Sisters

Heartwarming Women's Fiction Series About Friendship, Second Chances, and Coming Home

Five women. One unbreakable bond. A promise to always be there for each other.
The Ruby Sisters aren't related by blood—they're connected by something stronger. Bree, Lindy, Marsha, April, and Judith made a pact in their youth to support each other through life's ups and downs. But life pulled them apart, scattering them across the country for decades.

When Paul, Bree's late husband, sends mysterious letters from beyond the grave, he sets in motion a journey that brings these five friends back together in the small Pennsylvania town of Spring Falls. What begins as a scavenger hunt to help Bree heal from her loss becomes something far more profound—a chance for all five women to confront their pasts, reclaim their futures, and rediscover the power of true friendship.

Each book in the Ruby Sisters series focuses on one woman's story while weaving together the lives of all five friends. From Bree's search for the daughter she gave up, to April's escape from a dangerous marriage, to secrets that have been buried for decades, these novels explore the complexity of women's lives at midlife—the losses and the gains, the regrets and the redemptions, the endings and the beautiful new beginnings.

Perfect for readers who love heartwarming women's fiction with depth, mystery elements, and the celebration of female friendship. If you enjoy stories about second chances, small-town life, and the unbreakable bonds between women, The Ruby Sisters series will capture your heart.

As the Ruby Sisters rally around April, helping her rebuild her life, they must also confront Ron's growing obsession with getting his wife back. Meanwhile, new mysteries emerge in Spring Falls, and the friends discover that sometimes coming home means facing the hardest truths of all.

When strange events start happening around town, Marsha realizes her past may not be as buried as she thought. With the support of the Ruby Sisters and some unexpected help from characters connected to Bree's daughter Mary's story, Marsha must finally confront what happened all those years ago and decide whether she can truly call Spring Falls home.

Book 4: As If It Was Real: Cindy confronts the lies that stole her dreams

Cindy has always been the steady one, the friend who holds everyone together. As an art gallery owner in Spring Falls, she's built a successful life—but one built on a devastating lie she's hidden for decades.

Years ago, Cindy studied with a renowned art master who convinced her she had no talent. She's kept her own paintings stacked against the wall, hidden away in shame. But when those paintings are accidentally discovered, everything changes. Her friends see what she couldn't—that she's been an artist all along, and that her teacher may have stolen more than just her confidence.

When Daniel, the art master's son, arrives in Spring Falls, Cindy must face the painful summer that changed her life. As the truth emerges about what really happened, Cindy discovers that reclaiming her identity as an artist means confronting the lies she's believed about herself for far too long.

About Spring Falls
The fictional town of Spring Falls, Pennsylvania, becomes a character in its own right throughout the series.

From the waterfall that gives the town its name to the local coffee shop where the Ruby Sisters gather, from Lindy's art gallery to the Ruby House where several of the women live together, Spring Falls represents the possibility of home—not as a place we leave behind, but as a place we return to when we're ready to become who we were always meant to be.

Author Note from Beca Lewis
As I wrote A Last Gift, all the Ruby Sisters became so real to me I began a conversation one day about one of them with a friend, thinking I was talking about an actual person. I've spent most of my life working with women—with my dance company, as a financial planner, as a coach, as a teacher—and I pulled from all of that long life experience for the Ruby Sisters, which is probably why they are so real to me.

I believe in the power of community and friendship, and how together the world can become a place of joy and love. Not to say that there won't be challenges, but if faced together, they become easier. That's what The Ruby Sisters series is about.
