A shapeshifter who thinks she is better than everyone else learns she is mistaken. Meg runs away from home when she hears her parents talking about taking her somewhere for her safety as well as others. She is a bit of a wild child and uses her idea of being better than others to her advantage. She tricks a portal maker into sending her off planet where she can be free only to be sent somewhere dangerous for her kind instead. The story that unfolds is a life changing lesson for young Meg. This was a truly interesting book that leaves the reader wanting more. I noticed a lot of references to Erda and found that these series are linked in a way. Loved it.

The Story flow was Great. Banished worked well with the World situations happening at the Islands. I enjoyed the inter action of the Characters. And I can't wait until the next book to see where it leads to.I recommend this book for people who like someone dropped into a Foreign Environment, and trying not to stand out.

About The Author

BECA LEWIS thinks the world is not what it looks like, so she spends her time looking for what isn’t always visible. Addicted to reading from childhood, she thought that the worlds she read about were real. Now she asks, who says they are not?

Beca writes and coaches on shifting the story from her home in Ohio, where she lives with her husband and bunches of birds, trees, flowers, and squirrels.

She says they know more than she does about what is real, and what is not.
